Chloe Artega, 2022, 5’2, L, Marist, Michio 16 National
Defensively, she picks up everything! Artega was a member of the Michio team that won the 2019 JVA Summerfest Tournament in Columbus, Ohio. She should see playing time with two-time state champion Marist this fall.
Hannah Benes Hannah Benes DS/L Antioch | 2022 State IL , 2022, 5’6, L, Antioch, Balance 18 White
Benes is playing up two levels with the Balance 18 White team. The game is faster, playing with the talent at that level prepares her for the future! She has gained varsity experience at Antioch, playing both her freshman and sophomore year on varsity. Last season, Benes snagged 386 digs, averaging 10.7 digs per match. Benes jumped on the radar early at the Prep Dig Wisconsin Top 250 as a Freshman. Athletic and very long, Benes has quite a range where she can cover a lot of ground. Well trained and great with being able to anticipate the next step, she has asserted herself in Northern Illinois as one to watch playing up two age levels on the Balance 18 White squad that finished off February with a strong showing at the JVA Showcase in the Dells.
Grace Betke Grace Betke DS/L Belvidere North | 2022 State #127 Nation IL , 2022, 5’1, L, Belvidere North, VC United 181 Elite
Betke saw valuable time as a defensive specialist during her freshman year at Belvidere North in 2019. She has climbed her passing status, playing as a libero for the nationally ranked 181 Elite team of VC United . This team has a high powered offense, but would not be this effective if it wasn’t for Betke’s pinpoint accuracy in transition.

, 2022, 5’2, L, Nazareth Academy, First Alliance Lions Silver
During the 2019-2020 campaign for Nazareth Academy, Grimes handled 404 digs in 79 sets as they placed third at IHSA 3A states! She has great court presence and the ability to move to the ball and anticipate the play. Grimes is getting the job done for the Lions Silver team through the club season.
Ashlyn Berczynski Ashlyn Berczynski 5'7" | DS/L IL , 2022, 5’7, L, Joliet West, Uno
Club Uno is as strong as they have been in a while and Berczynski’s coverage has a lot to do with it. She reacts quickly and has great movement without the ball. Taking advantage of an opportunity is something Berczynski does well.
