The class of 2022 could prove to be a strong setter class as these top five-setters have seen state tournament success as well as USAV honors. Look for these players to take the court and run away with success.

Rian BakerRianBaker5'11" | SFremd | 2022IL, 2022, S, Fremd, Sky High 

Baker returns to the controls of the Fremd offense in 2020. She continues to be the starting setter for the 4A IHSA final four team. Her leadership skills develop as being the mainstay of the Sky High program. 


Darby HarrisDarbyHarris5'8" | SWheaton Warrenville South | 2022IL, 2022, S/L, Wheaton Warrenville South, Sports Performance

Played varsity at WWS as Libero, but was the JV setter. At Sports Performance, she’s all setter! She has great hands and good ball-handling skills but could run the offense slightly quicker. Playing in the state finals at Libero last season most likely will move to the setter position this year. It will be interesting to see where she ends up on the court come fall.

Another player who shined at the IHSA state tournament, Hurta saw most of her action in the offense swinging away. However, her hands are good
