Courtney Jones Courtney Jones 5'11" | OH Terre Haute South | 2022 State IN , 5-11, OH, Circle City 16 Purple (16-1), Terre Haute South High School
Get UP. I mean, UUUUPPPPP. Courtney is one of the highest jumpers in this class in Indiana, if not the highest, at 9-11. Which means it’ll pass ten feet before the high school season starts in August. She can hammer all of the shots, too, and even mix in a few beach rolls for good measure. Tucked into the westernmost town in Indiana, Terre Haute has produced a few solid volleyball recruits, and Miss Jones is tops in ANY position from TH in any class.
Kendall Meller Kendall Meller 6'2" | OH Brownsburg | 2022 State #124 Nation IN , 6-2, OH, Team Indiana Elite 16 (16-1), Brownsburg High School
Big kids in Indiana don’t usually move, attack, do ANYTHING with any sort of speed or coordination at this age. Kendall is one of those rare kinds of kids with the speed, the get-up, the arm and the termination that elite, next-level coaches want and need. Front row, back row, you name it, she can hit it. She’ll stay in the back to attack a few in-tempo pipes and defend smooth enough for her setter to do something with it. I have yet to see her in serve receive, but I can only imagine she’s improving that last part of her game as the cherry on top. Think Beth Prince (Avon grad, Illinois), but started playing later.
Cilicia Aleong Cilicia Aleong 5'11" | RS Avon | 2022 State #197 Nation IN , 5-11, RS, Circle City 16 Black (16-2), Avon High School
Lefty crusher? Check. Good bounce? Check. Front AND back row play? Check and check. Terminates with a relentlessness that not too many right sides have, let alone lefty right sides. This kid can BANG, and is only getting better. Get on the bandwagon, this kid has it.
Audrey Naberhaus Audrey Naberhaus 6'0" | MB Brownsburg | 2022 State IN , 6-0, MB, Circle City 16 Black (16-2), Brownsburg High School
Steady as she goes, captain. Our only middle on this list has all of the tools to be a solid M2 at the next level. Although her rise isn’t as high as the three listed above, Audrey is more than capable of using her length to make up for it. Blocks everyone from pin to pin, her consistency and lack of errors keeps her in the top five of any list in her class. We expect to see more aggression from her in the coming months, but for now, she’s a keeper.
Abby Davidson Abby Davidson 5'4" | DS/L Avon | 2022 State IN , 5-4, DS, Circle City 16 White (16-3), Avon High School
The only DS worth listing this high in this class west of Indy is a no-quit, full-go libero from Avon High School. She commands the defense and serve receive when she’s in, and is a willing bunch of positivity when she’s not. Every touch means something, and Abby takes it upon herself to be responsible for it all. I love this kid simply because she never stops. Ever.
