Bethany Roethel – 5’6 – Outside Hitter – Westby
Roethel is a hidden gem from the west side of the state. She is a six-rotation player who shows a lot of fire and competitiveness. She is a constant in serve-receive, quick on defense, and finds the open court for the kill. Roethel will lead her D3 Norsemen for the next 3 years, and with some solid training during the Club season, she could really turn some heads as a defensive superstar.
Kyleigh Coghlan Kyleigh Coghlan 5'6" | DS/L Kettle Moraine | 2023 State WI – 5’6 – Libero – Kettle Moraine
Coghlan was by far one of the best freshmen in serve-receive at the state tournament in 2019. With a tough lefty serve, she provides the first line of defense by forcing teams out of system. Coghlan does a great job of staying balanced and is quick to react on defense. She is solid and is commonly the most consistent player on the court.
Monika Stevens Monika Stevens 6'0" | MB Little Chute | 2023 WI – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Little Chute
Stevens has a heavy-arm and is always available to attack, but more impressive is her timing and the amount of touches she gets with her blocking. She comes from a high school program that recently graduated Marquette outside hitter, Hannah Vandenberg, in 2019. Stevens’ passion is evident when she plays, and she is a spark that can really fire up her team with a well-timed stuff block.
Rowan Schreiber Rowan Schreiber 6'5" | MB Madison Memorial | 2023 State WI – 6’4 – Middle Blocker/Right Side Hitter – Madison Memorial
The amount of improvement Schreiber has made in just the couple months of club we had was impressive. She is clearly a workhorse who protects the net. Schreiber’s long arms take up a lot of area and would make any hitter nervous. She also moves quickly from pin to pin to defend with the best. Schreiber earned a spot on the top Balance 16s squad this year, and I don’t see her development slowing anytime soon.
Savannah Spees Savannah Spees 5'7" | S Wausau East | 2023 State WI –5’7 – Pin Hitter/Defensive Specialist – Wausau East
Spees is an exceptional all-around player who could play any position but is most commonly utilized as a 6-rotation pin hitter. Her serve-receive is solid, defense is outstanding, and with the ability to read the opposing side, she always seems to be in the right spot. Spees can take a swing and run a court as a real positive leader from central Wisconsin.
