Here are five underrated 11th seniors-to-be.
Colby Conley: An opposite hitter, Conley is a student-athlete from Scott County High School. Conley chipped in for Scott County throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, helping to pace the Cardinals offensively. A strong hitter from the right side, Conley uses her height and leaping ability to excel at the net.
Natalie Desousa: A junior outside hitter, Desousa is a student-athlete from Sayre High School. Emerging as a a productive performer during the 2019 prep volleyball season, Desousa appeared in all 36 of Sayre’s matches. Desousa delivered 74 kills, 181 digs and 51 service aces in 94 sets for the Spartans in 2019. A stout hitter from the left side, Desousa elevates well and is a solid server.
Brooke Poynter: A defensive specialist/outside hitter, Poynter is a student-athlete from Tates Creek High School. In only 19 matches for Tates Creek during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Poynter posted 63 kills, 26 blocks, 149 digs and 26 service aces. Versatile while being an aggressive blocker, Poynter is comfortable playing in both the back row and the front row.
Avery St. John: An outside hitter, St. John is a student-athlete from Madison Southern High School. St. John contributed for Madison Southern throughout the 2019 prep volleyball season. Appearing in 32 of Madison Southern’s 33 matches, St. John registered 90 kills, 130 digs and 49 service aces. St. John is explosive at the net while developing into a go-to hitter.
Olivia Quinn: A defensive specialist, Quinn is a student-athlete from Lexington Catholic High School. A reliable contributor for Lexington Catholic during the 2019 prep volleyball season, Quinn notched 156 digs and 20 service aces in 22 matches. Agile, Quinn has shown the ability to dig and pursue while being a productive back row hitter.
