“We have two commits. Madison Peters signed with Adrian College and Madison Candela signed with Henry Ford College,” said Dynamite Volleyball co-founder Alan Patterson. “(We) only had two other seniors on the team and neither was interested in playing in college.”
Peak Performance in Paw Paw is also sending Elise Burk to ply her trade at Salem University in West Virginia via a signed commitment according to Fieldlevel.com. This member of the class of 2020 plays Outside Hitter, Opposite and Setter.
As for the Great Lakes Volleyball Club in Utica, it’s celebrating the present based on what’s to come, which is two of its 2020 graduates having committed to a specific college program. This includes Morgan Jenzen, an Outside Hitter and Middle Blocker who has verbally committed to Michigan State University. Opposite, Setter and Defensive Specialist Lynzie Kirkendall has made a signed commitment to Rochester University, as well.
Class of 2020 Outside Hitter and Middle Blocker Darcy Benin from the Superior Storm Volleyball Club in Sault Saint Marie also gave a signed commitment to Rochester University.
For the Force Volleyball Academy in West Bloomfield things are trending in a very different direction. There it’s the FVA 14U Select team that’s standing out for all the right reasons, which includes…
GIANNA SANSON
A member of the class of 2024 at All Saints Catholic Middle School, Sanson will attend Father Gabriel Richard High School. On the court she wears number 11 and is a right-handed Libero.
“(Sanson) reads well, (has a) fast twitch (and) runs court well (and has a) consistent/aggressive jump float serve,” said FVA 14U Select coach Amy Osborn.
AYDEN WEBER
A right-hander who plays the Middle position, Weber is an eighth-grader at Upland Hills Middle School who will attend Groves High School and wears number 13 for FVA 14U Select.
“(She is a) strong attacker (who) hits angles,” Osborn said. “(She is also) very tall/blocks well (and possesses a) consistent jump float serve.”
SAMANTHA SCHIHL
Playing Opposite and wearing number four on the court, Schihl is a member of the class of 2024 at Pierce Middle School. She is right-handed and will attend Mott High School, as well.
“Strong Opposite Attacker, (Schihl has a) quick arm swing (and an) aggressive jump top and float serve,” said Osborn.
At Carpe Diem Volleyball in Holland, on the other hand, the issues don’t run quite as deep. But, that’s only because that organization didn’t field any girl’s 18U teams this season.
