Alexander is a great addition to this squad. She is an athletic middle that has good quickness and range of offensive ability as she can attack from in front and behind the setter if in a 5-1 situation. She has good length as well and can get up and over defensively to further solidify the blocking presence as a strength for this roster. She returns for St. Louis Park as a key veteran that helped them reach the state tournament

Post is tall and rangy as she has ability to get up and over the net on both sides. Her skills have continued to grow as she was a primary offensive weapon for Coon Rapids with a lot of opportunities to swing from the middle. With the right timing and spacing she can get on top of the ball well and generate some good pace. Defensively, she shows good patience to stay balanced, see the set, and pursue with good finish and strong hands over the net.

Foerster has seen her stock rise as she is just outside the top 50 for the class of 2021. She is a terrific pick-up as she has a skill set that allows her to contribute in a variety of ways both front and back row. She has good ball control with good preparation, footwork, and angle development. As an attacker she has an aggressive approach, gets her feet to the ball well, and can swing for points with good range and pace. Foerster plays defense with good intention as she watches point flow well and reacts efficiently in her movements. She adds good depth for Eagan in 2020 as they look to return to the state championship match once again.

Riviere provides a great offensive presence at the opposite position. As a lefty, she can swing and score through a range of attack points, whether on a mid tempo set to the pin or a quick attack just overhead. She has good arm control and court awareness that often results in a variety of zones that she can swing through. With the graduation of the best lefty opposite in the state a year ago, Riviere could be next up in that role for the defending class 3A champs.

Pharr is a definite stock riser for the class of 2022. With increased experience she is beginning to develop into a big offensive factor from the middle position. As she saw a fair amount of opportunity for RCW in 2019, her impact and effectiveness will increase in 2020 given her progress. She has good awareness of point flow and ball location in serve receive and transition patterns to make herself available to attack. She opens well to the ball and scores through her range of options off one or two feet.

Grimm has a dynamic skill set as she can make contributions in all facets of the game. She has an aggressive offensive style and can swing with good range and power, utilizing her 5’9 frame well through good lift off the ground. She has good ball control and pursues the ball well defensively as she can get to attackers quickly as a blocker will using her athleticism to create good range in the back row. She should see a bigger role for Eastview this next fall.

Rossing adds another very capable pin arm to this squad as she has been a proven scorer for her high school and club teams. All of Team Violet’s pin attackers have good versatility to be able to swing effectively from either side of the court. Rossing is fluid in her footwork and approach while building good momentum into her lift. She has good contact point at the peak of her jump with good awareness of the defense in front of her. Her ability to make adjustments throughout the transition process, combined with here varied attack options, make her tough to track and defend.

Chmielewski has great back court presence and brings with her great training and competitive experience as the libero and defensive leader for perennial power Mayer Lutheran. She is a reliable passer and plays great defense with balance and ability to react in all directions to create transition opportunities for her team. She is nice addition to this Team Pink roster to help establish their ball control foundation. Look for her and Mayer Lutheran to be among the favorites once again in 2020.
