Sophie Gregoire-Salagean Sophie Gregoire-Salagean 6'2" | OH Newberg | 2023 State #49 Nation OR , 6’0″, OH, Newberg High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy
Gregoire-Salagean did not let being the only freshman on the Newberg High School Varsity team stop her. Early on she became a six-rotation outside hitter for the Tigers. There were few freshmen to make an All-League First-team selection, but Gregoire-Salagean was one of the few. She was awarded Pacific Conference First Team All-League All-League and was a contender for the Pacific Conference Player of the Year. She was the leading scorer on the team in both kills and hitting percentage, she ranked second in serve receive, blocking and digs, and had the third-most assists. She mixes up her attack with different angles and shots and is a smart defender. She is currently playing for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy on their 15-1 National team.
Addie Hoover Addie Hoover 5'9" | OH West Linn | 2023 State OR , 5’9″, OH, West Linn High School, Portland Volleyball Club
Hoover, one of two freshmen to make the West Linn Lions varsity squad, is a dynamic athlete who has the ability to step into any position on the court. While her attack comes with great speed and power, she also is a sharp defender, and often saw court time in the back row, with Warmenhoven (#1 2022 recruit in OR) and Wilmes (University of Washington commit) on the outside for the Lions. She is currently playing for Portland Volleyball Club’s 16-1 National team.
Madison Hauskins Madison Hauskins 5'9" | OH Clackamas | 2023 OR , 5’9″, OH, Clackamas High School, Portland Volleyball Club
Hauskins was a dynamic player on Clackamas High School’s JV team, showcasing her versatility as both a setter and an outside hitter. Being only a freshman, she was not afraid to take on a leadership role for her team. With the Cavaliers graduating seven seniors in 2020, Hauskins will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season. She is currently playing all around as a setter and an outside hitter for Portland Volleyball Club’s 16-1 National team.
Sydney Brewster Sydney Brewster 6'0" | OH Sandy | 2023 OR , 6’0″, OH, Sandy High School, Adidas NW Jrs. Volleyball Club
Brewster, the only Freshman to make the Sandy High School varsity squad, made her presence known. An incredibly versatile athlete with a powerful arm swing, she switched between the outside and middle with ease. Though a middle blocker most of her career, she played outside many times given her ability to play the back row well. For her play she was awarded Mt. Hood Second Team All-League. She spent the off season playing varsity basketball for the Pioneers and club volleyball for Adidas NW Juniors 16-1 team.
Isabel Patterson, 5’9″, OH, Jesuit High School, Athena Volleyball Academy
Patterson, one of two freshmen on the Jesuit Crusaders 6A state championship team, uses her fast arm swing and impressive vertical to rack up kills. An incredibly quick athlete she dominates on the outside. Though not in the starting line-up this season, with Dowdall (#16 2021 recruit) and Henry (#25 2021 recruit) fulfilling the outside positions for the Crusaders, it will be exciting to see her dominate next fall. She is currently playing for Athena Volleyball Academy’s 15-1 Gold team.
Amyah Semau, 5’8″, OH, West Linn High School, Portland Volleyball Club
Semau, one of two freshmen to make the West Linn Lions Varsity squad, is a very versatile athlete with the ability to play any position on the front row. Since the Lions had Warmenhoven (#1 2022 recruit in OR) and Wilmes (University of Washington commit) on the outside, Semau was put on the right side given her strong block. Though on the Varisty roster, she also saw a lot of playing time on their JV team. She is currently playing for Portland Volleyball Club’s 16-1 National team.
