Here are five 11th Region senior setters to watch.
Hannah Adams: Consistent and reliable, Adams appeared in 23 of Paul Laurence Dunbar’s first 30 matches during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Adams is poised to finish her prep career strong for the Bulldogs. A smart decision maker, Adams is communicative and delivers both offensively and defensively. Adams is expected to carry a larger load for Dunbar during the 2020 season.
Lane Jenkins Lane Jenkins S Lafayette | 2021 State KY : One of the top prep volleyball players in Kentucky, Jenkins was a First Team All-State honoree for Lafayette during the 2019 season. Highly productive, Jenkins led Lafayette throughout 2019. The reigning 11th Region Player of the Year, Jenkins is highly communicative, excels as a precise passer and thrives in several positive categories.
Brooke Johnston: A setter/defensive specialist, Johnston is a student-athlete from Franklin County. Johnston was a leader for Franklin County throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, recording 583 assists, 145 digs and 83 service aces in 35 matches. Agile, Johnston is a stellar passer and server.
Samantha McClanahan: A team captain, McClanahan is a setter from Scott County. McClanahan helped to lead 42nd District member Scott County throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, producing in multiple key categories. Athletic, McClanahan is a proven playmaker and leader.
Anna Schnurr: One of the leaders for Lexington Catholic, Schnurr is carrying momentum over into her senior campaign. A setter/defensive specialist, Schnurr recorded 477 assists, 208 digs and 22 service aces in 35 matches for Lexington Catholic during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Schnurr has shown the ability to set in various situations and communicate regularly.
