Jada Allen Jada Allen 6'1" | OH Fishers | 2021 State IN , 6-1, OH, Munciana 18 Samurai, Fishers, Prep Dig #18
As the lone uncommitted player on Munciana’s flagship team, it is a surprise to this author that Jada remains as such. Her heavy arm, athletic build and speed all combine to make an overwhelming pin attacker for a high school team looking to make a run in the fall of 2020.
Sarah Casper Sarah Casper 5'11" | OH Cathedral | 2021 State IN , 5-11, OH, Academy 17 Elite Tsunami, Cathedral, Prep Dig #19
I have Sarah as just a step behind Jada, mostly because of the size and jump-touch difference. Besides those two physical attributes, Sarah is a six-rotation player that can play multiple positions in the front and back rows. Going into her senior season at Cathedral, the Irish hope to make a run out of the sectional that includes the next young lady on this list.
Ashleigh White Ashleigh White 5'11" | OH Lawrence North | 2021 State IN , 5-11, OH, Academy 17 Elite Tsunami, Lawrence North, Prep Dig #25
LN and Cathedral are the only two teams that ever come out of Section 10 in the 4A state playoffs, with Cathedral eking out a five-set thriller last fall. Ashleigh, a recently converted middle, has a heavy arm and blocks anyone and everyone even thinking about challenging her. With this conversion to the pin, however, is a learning curve for her defensive responsibility, which she is quickly learning.
Mikayla Christiansen Mikayla Christiansen 6'0" | RS Fishers | 2021 State IN , 6-0, RS, Munciana 17 Pandas, Fishers, Prep Dig #27
Mikayla comes from a bloodline of athletes, as one sister played at Cedarville (D2) and her older brother is the M1 at Indiana Tech (NAIA). Her dad is a volleyball ref. This family KNOWS volleyball, and Mikayla is no exception. She’s played all of the front row positions at some point in her career, and is currently playing right side for Munciana’s 17-1 team. I look forward to traveling to the north side of Indy to watch this Tigers program this fall.
Atlantis Clendenin Atlantis Clendenin 5'9" | OH Parke Heritage | 2021 State IN , 5-9, OH, Circle City 17 Purple, Parke Heritage, Prep Dig #33
Atlantis certainly doesn’t play like she’s the shortest on this list, as her heavy arm and ability to terminate from the front and back rows makes her useful in most environments. She also possesses a heavy topspin serve that can be 12 to 6, a curve ball, and even another spin that moves from right to left to the passer (a screw ball, maybe?).
