Sky Moffitt Sky Moffitt 6'2" | MB Lafayette Jefferson | 2022 State IN , 6-2, Lafayette Jefferson, Circle City, Prep Dig #3
There’s Sky, and then there’s everyone else. Her ability to terminate at will puts her as the top middle in the area. Add to her terminal abilities is her knack of always blocking everyone. No, really, everyone. Her span is longer than her 6-2 frame, and she closes with the best of them. Although LJ is a decent high school program, she still finds ways to put balls away when every opponent knows where the ball is going for a side-out.
Ella Peter Ella Peter 6'0" | MB Noblesville | 2022 State IN , 6-0, Noblesville, Circle City, Prep Dig #10
I rank Ella this high for her ability, at a young age, to play multiple positions and do whatever her coach asks her to do. She’s been on both pins in club, and occasionally plays middle. In high school, she’s asked to do everything, since Noblesville has had a bunch of attrition over the past two years. I list her as a middle because she can, but she could easily be in the top 20 on the list of pin attackers I listed yesterday. The fact remains that Ella has been the starting M1 since her freshman year for the Millers, and that doesn’t look like it will change any time soon.
Brooke Elliott Brooke Elliott 6'1" | MB Hamilton Southeastern | 2022 State IN , 6-1, Hamilton Southeastern, Munciana, Prep Dig #15
Munciana is not exactly known for their size at the younger age groups. Miss Elliott has that size and speed combo that is enviable at all levels. Brooke brings All-American status to the fold (AAU AA at 14 Open in ’19), with her speed in front of and behind the setter apparent. Her length has her covering most blocks, and her training and consistently in winning programs makes her a winner. Let’s see if the Royals can make another state title match run.
Sarah Bennett Sarah Bennett 6'0" | MB Columbus North | 2022 State IN , 6-0, Columbus North, Circle City, Prep Dig #20
This a new addition to the top 20 for this class, and I like her because of her constant and consistent willingness to do what’s necessary to win. Big and hitting a heavy ball, Sarah is always the positive kid who gets the job done with no excuses. She pans out to an M2 at the next level, so hopefully a little more training will make her a bit more well-rounded.
Lovie Wallace Lovie Wallace 6'0" | MB Hamilton Southeastern | 2022 State IN , 6-0, Heritage Christian, Munciana, Prep Dig #27
I LOVE LOVIE! Yeah, I said it. She’s the “other” middle on a state champion high school team ( Raven Colvin Raven Colvin 6'0" | MB Heritage Christian | 2021 State IN , ’21, Purdue commit is the other), but doesn’t play like it. She’s late to the training game, but is more than capable of hitting over, around and through whomever you throw at her. She also has an All-American honor under her belt (’19, MVP of 15 Open at AAU) to go with that state championship trophy. Her meteoric rise over the last two years isn’t done yet; she’s THIS close to touching over ten feet. I expect HC to make another run at the 2A state title in the fall.
