Sarah Bohrer – 5’3 | L | Edina
Bohrer will once again be a key element for Edina’s ball control and defense in this tough conference. She has veteran experience and been a leader for this program in a variety of ways including in her effort and energy around the floor. She has good mobility in her footwork and maintains dynamic body position to utilize her quickness well in pursuit of the ball off of her first step. Additionally, she can be very effective at the service line in putting pressure on opposing passers with her jump float.

Goerger has an impressive volleyball resume for being a 2022 prospect as she is on just about all watch lists for this class. At 6’4 and a near 10’0 recorded approach touch she has great size, length, and ability to play above most other athletes on the floor. She added some great training and competitive experience this recent club season as a member of MN Select’s top 17s team. She has improved in all facets of the game to be effective at a faster paced level of play. Look for her to be a big part of Wayzata’s effort this fall.

Henderson shared the setting duties during the 2019 season and provides athleticism and quickness to this position that will allow her to get to the second contact and enable a good range of distribution. STMA has some good attackers returning and her veteran experience will be key to get them involved and balance this team’s offense if they are to find the same success from a year ago. She has the skills to be an even bigger factor this season.

The 2019 season was an exciting one for STMA as they had a well-rounded collection of attackers, including Krystosek who saw a good share of attempts. Her production should increase this fall following the graduation of some key hitters. She has good athleticism and can play all six rotations effectively on both offense and defense, and will bring additional high-level experience following her time with the top 16s team at MN Select. Look for her to connect with Henderson often throughout the season.

– 5’11 | OH/RS | Wayzata
A reserve attacker for Wayzata in 2019, Leier should get increased opportunity to contribute for the defending state champions. She gets her feet to the ball well and has ability to score points from both pins with good arm speed that has potential to put a lot of heat behind the ball. She increased her training and competitive experience well this club season competing for MN Select’s top 16s team, which should benefit her and her team this fall season.

– 6’3 | MH/RS | Eden Prairie
Minta is a physical presence in the front row that commands a lot of attention. As one of the top-ranked middles in this class she can be very productive on both sides of the ball. With a 10’1 recorded touch she can get the ball to the floor in a hurry when swinging while filling up space above the tape when blocking. She finishes her arm swing and hand press in the air quickly, which can be really challenging for any opponent to overcome. She has a high ceiling and should be the primary factor for Eden Prairie in 2020.

Moore has a big arm and can can swing aggressively through a variety of zones. Her last two steps help her to maintain balance in the air that allows her to swing with good pace. She has good ball control skills as well as she tracks the ball well in serve receive and has the patience and balance on defense to read the play and pursue with good range to utilize her length effectively. It will be fun to see how she and some of the other rising Wayzata attackers factor into their offense as they look to defend their state title.

– 5’11 | RS | Wayzata
Riviere is a left-handed opposite that can generate some good arm speed over head of the setter. She sees the floor well and can swing for points through a variety of attack points and speeds. She should factor well into the 2020 version of the Wayzata offense given the graduation of their all-star lefty opposite from a year ago. She has some dynamic qualities as a right side hitter, which should continue to be a key dimension in their offensive balance.
Abby Stanwood

Minnetonka | 2022

MN
– 5’10 | OH/DS | Minnetonka
Stanwood was a huge part of Minnetonka’s success in 2019 helping the Skippers to the state tournament. She has veteran experience as a member at the varsity level since the eighth grade and provides great six-rotation skills with good platform development as a passer and an aggressive mindset as an attacker. She gets her feet to the ball well in her approach patterns and her arm speed makes her very tough to defend. Stanwood and Minnetonka have some other key pieces returning that should have the Skippers in the mix once again in 2020.
