Bergland was a significant part of the Oriole’s offense in 2019 as a six-rotation attacker. Although undersized by comparison to other big program pin attackers she jumps very well. She also has an aggressive arm swing that is capable of scoring points when needed. She has good ball control, is quick in her movement around the floor, and applies good pressure at the service line. St. Louis Park returns a great corps of offense and Bergland’s veteran experience could help them get to the state tournament once again.

Heyer is athletic. A multi-sport athlete, also a standout on the basketball court, she is long and rangy with good elevation at the net. An all-conference selection, she was once again a huge factor in Chaska’s offense in 2019 with her ability to terminate the ball with great authority. She can score from multiple attack zones and can bring great pace when she gets her feet to the ball. She also has great net and court awareness to be able to drop a tip for points as well. Look for her to score a lot of points for Chaska this fall.

Sieling is a left-handed opposite that brings good athleticism to the floor for this squad. She is very quick and has good elevation. When on time and balance in the air she can generate pace on the ball with good arm speed. She plays six rotations, has good ball control, and will take swings both front and back row. The other half of the Sieling tandem for this team, she also brings great athleticism to the floor. Her attacking impact will continue to be a big part of their offense in 2019 as she elevates very well and creates great torque in the air with her upper body. Her arm speed is fast and when balanced in the air she can terminate with good power through the full range of the floor. Equally effective from both pins, she will get a lot of opportunities to swing. Look for her stock to jump through this fall season.

Voss spent the club season as a primary libero for M1’s top 16s team. She prepares with a low center and with good balance that helps her create good range in pursuit of the ball in all directions. Her balance increases the effectiveness of her first step and she uses her platform well to keep the ball off the court. She engages well during point flow and commands the court well on the defensive side of the ball. She has great potential to continue to raise her stock during this next cycle of high school and club the next several months.
Mary Cate Ziembiec – 5’9 | OH | Chanhassen
Ziembiec played a big role for Chanhassen as a pin attacker and gained a lot of great competitive experience in 2019. Some aspects that benefit her is that she is simple with her mechanics and has good court awareness and arm control to direct the ball to various locations. When she gets her feet to the ball she can generate increased power. Additionally, she shows good pursuit of the ball and platform work in serve receive. Her best contributions right now are on defense as she reads the play well and is balanced and patient, which allows her to pursue the dig with range and quickness.
