Lines of communication will open up for this class (June 15) and the recruiting process will definitely start picking up. Here are a few more setters to take a look at in the Class of 2022 from four different states.
Lily Lutz Lily Lutz S Catholic Memorial | 2022 State WI – Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold (Title Photo)
I have used this reference before in regards to Lutz, but she moves on the court like a water beetle. Uber quick and just has a certain grit to her game which gives her plenty of intangibles to work with. A solid athlete with all around skills, she gets her hands to the ball and isn’t afraid to light a fire with her team.
Maddie Converse Maddie Converse 5'10" | S Kasson-Mantorville | 2022 State MN – Northern Lights 16-1
She was thrown into the fire early in her career where she led her high school team to a final four appearance at the Minnesota state tournament. With continued training at Northern Lights as well as a top high school program in Kasson-Mantorville, Converse will be one to keep tabs on with her ability to lead and win.

Kora Ruff Kora Ruff 5'9" | S Pleasant Valley | 2022 State #86 Nation IA – Iowa Rockets 16R
Ruff continues to impress with her leadership, relentless work ethic, and court presence. She has such great anticipation and a feel for the game that is tough to match. A true quarterback of the offense. Her Iowa Rockets 16R team is a tight knit group that has been together for awhile and they continue to run a quick tempo where Ruff is the ultimate orchestrator. Quick hands and on point from getting her hitters open to knowing when to attack on her own.
Ava LeGrand Ava LeGrand 5'11" | S Papillion-LaVista South | 2022 State #46 Nation NE – Nebraska Juniors 17 Black
Such a fun athlete to watch, LeGrand is the type who can leave an impression after watching only a few times. Part of some strong volleyball genes where the whole family is involved, LeGrand has always played up an age level and has found success on all of her teams. Her athleticism and ability to control the game is really what sets her apart, the type of athlete you definitely need on your gym and your side of the net.
So dynamic. Claire Ammeraal Claire Ammeraal 6'0" | S Madison LaFollette | 2022 State #179 Nation WI of @CapitalVbAll can jump and swing as a left handed setter. Huge upside to her game! pic.twitter.com/DocOjEAGC5

Claire Ammeraal Claire Ammeraal 6'0" | S Madison LaFollette | 2022 State #179 Nation WI – Capital 16 Adidas
With the ability to jump and provide a big left handed swing, Ammeraal is able to put a huge amount of pressure on the other side of the net. She is a really solid all-around athlete and has been a key part for her Capital 16 Adidas squad.
Sydney Lewellin Sydney Lewellin S Lake Mills | 2022 State WI – Milwaukee Sting 16 Black
Lewellin can do it all. She has the athleticism and physicality to play multiple positions on the court where she is a left handed setter, a big swing on the right side, and a solid defender. Versatility is so key in the gym and Lewellin has it.
Madison Maahs Madison Maahs 5'8" | S Western Dubuque | 2022 State IA – Western Dubuque (IA)
Maahs quietly led her team to a state runner-up finish and All State honors for Western Dubuque High School. Great footwork and a smooth release, she can set multiple tempos and knows where to find the open attacker. With plenty of intangibles in her favor she is a hidden gem that will be fun to watch develop over the next couple of seasons.
