Welcome back to the rankings and watch lists! With the lack of a great club season, the Prep Dig Scouts were not able to see as many players as we wanted to this season. Therefore, we are adding to our Watch Lists in each grade! Players, it is up to you to catch our eye now and make it into the rankings! Check out the Watch List players in the 2021 Rankings!
We start with the Class of 2021, THE SENIORS!!!
Ellie Lieneman Ellie Lieneman 5'7" | OH Fort Calhoun | 2021 State NE n | 5’8 | OH/DS | FORT CALHOUN | 2021
This mover and shaker has the desire for volleyball that can’t be taught. As a three-year varsity letter winner, Lienemann looks to leading her team in a positive mindset while focusing on important aspects of the game, “My number one team goal for this season is to have a strong and positive team culture. I think when teams are bonded it automatically makes a better team, everyone should feel welcome and encouraged to do the best they can and to have fun. Another team goal is to really lock down on our serve receive and make it the best we can. Passing is a key part of winning the game so I think it’s very important for us to have a strong back row.”
In the offseason, Lienemann works out with her high school team and a Cross Fit coach in addition to playing club with River City Juniors 18 Navy
Lienemann has met with four college coaches with two pending offers. She awaits the chance to take campus tours, camps, and tryouts.
Fort Calhoun participates in the Nebraska Capitol Conference. Look for Lienemann and fellow seniors 6’0 middle Alivia Cullen Alivia Cullen 5'9" | MB Fort Calhoun | 2021 State NE (#150 on our 2021 list) and 5’0 libero McKenna Greenwell McKenna Greenwell 5'0" | DS/L Fort Calhoun | 2021 NE (also new to our 2021 Watch List) to add more checkmarks in the win column this season.

A slew of players from Columbus High has been added to the Watch List:
With .500 records the last couple years, Class A Columbus looks to a senior class of leaders. The coaches are looking to this athletic class to take them to the next level.
Sadie Evans Sadie Evans 5'10" | RS Columbus | 2021 NE | 5’10 | S | COLUMBUS | 2021
Evans played club this spring for NE Elite 17 Havoc where she set and hit on the right. She set last fall in her first year on varsity and ran a 5-1. Finishing the season with 773 assists, 45 aces, 189 digs, and 35 total blocks, 7 solo, this coachable player works extremely hard to be the best she and her team can be.
Jaleigh Adams-Tuls Jaleigh Adams-Tuls 6'0" | MB Columbus | 2021 NE | 6′ | MH/RS | Columbus | 2021
Adams played club this spring for Central Nebraska Juniors 17’s as a middle. Jaleigh started on the right side as a sophomore and moved to middle her junior year where she remains for her senior year. She finished her junior year with 202 kills and 64 total blocks, 30 solo. Her sophomore year on the right side she had 150 kills with 45 total blocks, 5 solo. As her skills catch up with her 6′ frame, look for her game to come together in 2020.
Addi Duranski Addi Duranski 5'7" | RS Columbus | 2021 NE | 5’7 | RS | Columbus | 2021
Addi is a lefty and started right-side for Columbus last season. Finishing the season hitting .214 with 197 kills and 33 total blocks with nine solo, Addi makes the transition to the volleyball court from a summer busy with club softball (a rarity for volleyball players). With her athleticism and jumping ability, the choice to play volleyball will fare well with the Columbus program as the connection between her and her setter becomes stronger.
Maddie Uhlig Maddie Uhlig 5'6" | OH Columbus | 2021 NE | 5’6 | OH/DS | Columbus | 2021
As more of a natural in the back row, Maddie stepped up to become a six rotation outside for the Discoverers in 2019 and will be asked to face that task again this season. As a court leader in the back row, Uhlig does a good job on defense and ball-handling while still maintaining control while in the front.
Josie Garrett Josie Garrett 5'7" | OH Columbus | 2021 NE | 5’7 | OH/RS | Columbus | 2022 (Early preview!!!)
Josie started her high school career as a setter/right side and was converted to an outside to start her sophomore season. This strong athlete hits the ball hard and jumps well. This summer she has been working on hitting shots and learning the position. Josie’s development will directly relate to the success of her team.
This week we will focus on the 2021’s! Next week, be prepared for the 2022’s!
