Here are five 12th Region senior middles to watch.
Destiny Byrd: A consistent performer for Danville, Byrd produced throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. Byrd delivered 113 kills, 32 blocks, 58 digs and 35 service aces in 35 matches (118 sets) for Danville in 2019. Athletic, Byrd is versatile and uses quick attacks on offense regularly.
Jordan Eaton: An experienced middle, Eaton is a leader for Rockcastle County. During the 2019 high school volleyball season, Eaton recorded 219 kills, a team-high 57 blocks, 48 digs and 22 service aces in 36 matches (112 sets). Eaton reads opposing hitters well and thrives as a blocker.
Lindsey Horn: A middle hitter/outside hitter, Horn is a student-athlete from Pulaski County. Horn excelled for Pulaski County as a junior in 2019, registering 177 kills, 51 blocks, 31 assists, 154 digs and 44 service aces in 34 matches (111 sets). Carrying momentum over into her senior season, Horn is a solid all-round prep volleyball player who possesses a diverse skillset.
Molly Loy: One of most underrated volleyball players in the 12th Region, Loy is among the leaders for Somerset. Loy helped to pace Somerset throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, posting 137 kills, 22 blocks, 61 digs and 34 service aces in 27 matches (82 sets). Possessing solid jumping abilities, Loy moves to either side well consistently.
Mylee Poore: Productive, Poore is a middle blocker from Casey County. Poore ranked second in kills for Casey County during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Explosive at the net, Poore posted 105 kills, 42 blocks, 20 digs and 41 service aces in 32 matches (89 sets) for Casey County in the 2019 campaign.
