The 14th Region features several talented juniors, some of whom continue to improve. 

Here are four 14th Region juniors on the rise. 

Averie Brownell: A junior defensive specialist/libero, Brownell is a rising star for 2019 55th District Runner-up Wolfe County. As a sophomore during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Brownell played in 25 of 14th Region Volleyball Tournament participant Wolfe County's 34 matches, posting 84 digs. Agile, Brownell boats solid passing and defensive skills. 

Hannah Mitchell: An underrated performer, Mitchell is a junior setter for defending 54th District champion Leslie County. Mitchell produced for 2019 14th Region Volleyball Tournament Semifinalist Leslie County as a sophomore during the 2019 season, competing in 19 of the Eagles' 33 matches. The reliable Mitchell recorded 123 assists and 25 digs for Leslie County in 2019. Mitchell possesses strong communication skills and runs the offense well. 

Mackenzie Napier: A contributor for reigning 14th Region champion Breathitt County, Napier is set to take the floor as a junior. Napier appeared in 16 matches for Breathitt County during the 2019 high school volleyball season and will take on a larger role during the upcoming campaign. Explosive at the net and able to deliver as a blocker,
