That was the case for these four families in the 2019 season in Washington and these sisters pairings will come back when the 2020 season starts.
LouEllen Reed and Jessie Reed – Oakesdele
Oakesdele made a run to the State Championship final in the 1B Class in 2019 but saw their title aspirations come short by the hands of Pomeroy. Their campaign was powered by the great game of the Reed sisters. Junior setter LouEllen and freshman outside hitter Jessie were among the Nighthawks key players and they both made it to the All-State first team alongside two of their teammates.
Hailey Brockway Hailey Brockway 6'0" | OH Graham-Kapowskin | 2023 State #125 Nation WA and Madison Brockway – Graham-Kapowsin
The Brockway sisters were vital in Graham-Kapowsin’s 2019, which ended with a third-place finish at the State Championship in the 4A Class. The efforts of freshman outside hitter Hailey, an All-State first-team selection and the player with the third-most kills (472), and junior libero Madison, the state’s tenth-best defender with 401 digs, complemented each other perfectly as while one carried the team offensively the other organized its backcourt.
Gabrielle Faamausili and Danielle Faamausili – Steilacoom
The chemistry between twins Gabrielle and Danielle Faamausili has taken Steilacoom a long way last season. The Sentinels’ State Championship run might not have been as deep as they had hoped for, but the sophomore twins showed what they were about as Gabrielle was Washington’s fourth-best hitter with a .412 efficiency and Danielle ranked third in assists per set with 9.8 and earned an honorable mention to the 2A Class All-State Team.
Tia Allen Tia Allen 5'11" | OH Mt Spokane | 2021 State WA and Telia Allen – Mount Spokane
The Allens were arguably Washington’s most successful sister combo in 2019 as they took Mount Spokane to the top of the 3A Class at the State Championships for a second-straight year. The two had outstanding performances in the final match against Capital as Tia, a junior outside hitter, added 14 kills and 12 digs while Telia, a sophomore setter, has 22 assists. The duo was selected to the All-State first team and Tia, a top-five prospect at prepdig.com’s class of 2021 rankings, took the Player of the Year Award.
