Much-improved teams are among the high school volleyball squads in the 6th Region. 

Here are three 6th Region volleyball teams on the rise.

Doss: One of the most improved high school volleyball teams in Louisville, Doss finished the 2019 high school volleyball season with a 16-12 record. Doss excelled after ending the 2018 high school volleyball season 6-24. The Dragons recorded the fifth-most wins in the 6th Region in 2019. Doss was the 22nd District runner-up and made an appearance in the 6th Region Volleyball Tournament during the 2019 season. Senior Jada Railey and juniors Adrianna Hatchett and Lasanda Iriarte are among the experienced players returning for the Doss volleyball team. 

Fairdale: After finishing below .500 one year earlier, Fairdale compiled a 12-10 record in the 2019 high school volleyball season. The Bulldogs were much improved after finishing 10-14 in 2018. During the 2019 season, Fairdale put together a pair of three-match winning streaks. Mazie Robertson (Jr.), Taylor Paulson (Sr.), Miranda Warren (Jr.), Hailey Krebs (Jr.) and Hailey Eason (Sr.) are the top returning players for the Fairdale volleyball team.
