The relationship between setters and hitters is something special in the sport of volleyball. The trust that goes both ways between players in the two positions is normally what dictates the level of offensive success a team can achieve during tournaments.

These three pairings worked extremely well together in 2019 and will probably be even sharper when the next season starts.

Lake Stevens wouldn’t probably have advanced all the way to the State Championship final last year if the chemistry between setter Michelle FastMichelleFast5'8" | SLake Stevens | 2021StateWA and outside hitter Samaya MorinSamayaMorin6'1" | OHLake Stevens | 2021StateWA wasn’t so strong. The duo did a great job in combining offensively and both players reaped the benefits of their successful campaign as Fast was the seventh player with the most assists in the state (714) while Morin ranked 11th in hitting efficiency at .377. The performance made of Morin a 4A Class All-State first-team choice and earned Fast an honorable mention in their junior season. Unsurprisingly, they’re both ranked in the top-25 of prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking.
