Scoring is a key aspect of the game of volleyball. It doesn’t matter how good a team is in defense or if it has a great setter, if it doesn’t score points there’s no way it will win a match. Even though a good offense is the one that involves at least a few players, some hitters naturally are more used by their teams due to their great efficiency and these are five athletes who had these roles at the Class 2A in 2019 and will likely carry the same loads again next season.

Abby Harrell – Outside Hitter – Sophomore - Ellensburg

Abby Harrell was the only new face at Ellensburg’s senior-heavy roster in 2019 and she needed no time to earn her space with the team as a freshman. The 5’9” outside hitter quickly became a key piece for the Bulldogs and was the team’s second most effective player on offense with 277 kills. She also added 49 blocks and 28 aces to her name, deservedly getting an All-State first-team nomination.
