The Scorers
There is no shortage of hitters with the ability to put the ball down in this class. In this grouping, we start with Emmalyn O’Keefe Emmalyn O’Keefe 6'0" | RS Incarnate Word | 2022 State MO (Incarnate/Rockwood), the 6’0″ RS. She is as smooth as they come from the opposite position and uses her height to score over the defender. She has also displayed a strong presence defensively at the net. On the other pin, we have both Madison Corf Madison Corf 5'11" | OH Liberty | 2022 State MO (Liberty/Mavs KC) and Sydney Handel Sydney Handel 5'10" | OH Lee's Summit West | 2022 State MO (Lee’s Summit West/KC Power). They are both exciting to watch and hit a heavy ball. They are still growing as 6 rotation outsides, which will allow them to display their back-row attack. One middle we can highlight is Caroline Beckmann Caroline Beckmann 5'11" | MB Eldon | 2022 State MO from Eldon. She may transition to the pin next level or can play middle to fulfill a college need. At 5’11”, she plays aggressively and will continue to catch the eye of coaches.
The Setters
Two of the top setters in this class are from the same conference in the Kansas City area. They have very similar games and are being sought after by a good number of schools. Addison Beagle Addison Beagle 5'9" | S Liberty North | 2022 State MO (Liberty North/Dynasty) and Lacey Higgins Lacey Higgins 5'9" | S Lee's Summit West | 2022 State MO (Lee’s Summit West/Invasion) bring strong qualities to the table. Smart, good hands and ball placement are strengths both exhibit. For their size, they both can provide a defensive presence at the net as well. Tevi Gurley Tevi Gurley 5'10" | OH El Dorado Springs | 2022 State MO (El Dorado/417 Net Results) has also shown she could be a quality setter at the next level. At 5’10”, she has the size and quickness to make plays. She also contributes as a hitter from the right side, which is appealing to many college coaches.
The Defense
These defenders made a name for themselves last fall and in the shortened club season this year. Ally Williams Ally Williams 5'4" | DS/L Oakville | 2022 State MO is the leader of this bunch. The Oakville High/Rockwood Thunder member can cover a court. She has a tremendous first step and time after time makes the play even the opponents have to cheer on. She is as tough as they come in the state and will make a college program happy. Keegan Good Keegan Good 5'4" | DS/L Park Hill South | 2022 State MO emerged on the scene last fall in her first season of varsity play for Park Hill South.
