Here is a look at some small school setters who are ranked in the initial Class of 2021 rankings.
Millie Stockard Millie Stockard 5'10" | S Colgan | 2021 State KS , 5’10”, Colgan (Ranked No. 84) – Stockard will play a role in a possible Panthers return to the 2A State Tournament after missing the Tournament in 2019. She has long arms and also can be a solid hitter. Stockard is an athlete that a college program can build around.
Victoria Lujan Victoria Lujan 5'9" | S Belle Plaine | 2021 State KS , 5’9”, Belle Plaine (Ranked No. 94)– Lujan is one of six seniors who will be looking to help Bell Plaine return to the 2A State Championship Tournament. Lujan is a great passer, but she also has a knack for finding holes in the opposition’s defense. With a solid net presence, she has the ability to kill rallies.
Gracen Hipfl Gracen Hipfl 5'7" | S Frontenac | 2021 State KS , 5’7”, Frontenac (Ranked No. 118) – Hipfl has good hands and communicates well. Her sister, Reagan, is an outside hitter for the Raiders. Hipfl is the bet serve receiver among this group of small school setters. She can help finish a rally with a solid set, but more importantly, she can make a solid dig to start one if needed.
Lindsey Winkelman, 5’7”, Chase (Ranked No. 150) – Winkelman is a leader on the court and in the classroom. She is an excellent communicator on the court and plays with intensity. Winkelman was influential in the Kats 2019 season which was one of the most successful in the program’s recent history. She is interested in schools with nursing programs.
