A handful of their players have ranked high in the class of 2021 for some time; however, many of them are still looking forward to their senior season and a chance at a collegiate career.
Jadyn Garrison Jadyn Garrison 5'9" | OH East Ridge | 2021 State MN , ranked 38th in her class, has committed to bringing her passion and passing to the University of Marquette. A 5’9” outside who plays much bigger will likely transition to a back-row position but her time Kokoro has proven she has the capability to play in the front too.
Leading the Northern Light’s herg is Faith Saewert (#85.) A resilient defensive specialist who was a staple for every team she’s been a part of. Saewert has committed to play at South Dakota State University.
Accompanying them in the newly designed spring season this year will be four teammates who have developed their skills and are deserving of a chance to play in college.
Lauren Galvin Lauren Galvin 6'0" | OH East Ridge | 2021 State MN (#15), is the tallest of the group. At 6′, she is an incredible outside hitter for East Ridge. Galvin is a player of depth taking her talents around to all six positions. She was an emotional leader for her NL 17-2 season. She also leads by example on the court with a optimistic outlook and the ability to limit her errors.
A well-rounded student athlete Galvin stated, “I’m looking for a college that will foster both my academic and athletic goals, support and challenge me to continue to learn, excel, and succeed on the court and in life.” More of her insightful personal statement can be found here.
Next up, is setter, Audrey Spolidoro (#85.)She used her height and speed to help run the East Ridge offense. Spolidoro is an accomplished athlete playing for MNL 17-Red, East Ridge’s Women’s Hockey team, and the Raptor’s Track and Field squad. And although hockey may have her heart, we’d hate to see those gifted hands give up setting. She has proven she can be manage various sports at a high level.
The next two both played club for M1 Volleyball. Macy Grehan Macy Grehan 5'9" | DS/L East Ridge | 2021 State MN (#146) and Emma Stamm Emma Stamm 5'9" | OH East Ridge | 2021 State MN (#148) are both 5’9” and play libero and outside respectively. They played together on the 17-2’s team this past season. Stamm was used on the right-side utilizing her fast arm swing and cross court hit. Grehan was a DS for the team and tough server.
