Here are three 15th Region junior setters to watch.
Alyssa McCoy: Among the leaders for Martin County during the 2019 high school volleyball season, McCoy appeared in all 35 of the Cardinals’ matches. An accurate passer, McCoy recorded 344 assists, 181 digs and 38 service aces for Martin County as a sophomore setter in 2019. Set to compete as a junior, McCoy exhibited mental toughness in the first half of her prep career and will take on a larger role for Martin County in the 2020 season.
Sylvia Ratliff: Poised to take on a larger role of her own, Ratliff is a junior setter for East Ridge. During her sophomore season in 2019, Ratliff posted 89 assists and 46 digs through 30 matches. Ratliff was a key contributor as East Ridge compiled a 21-9 record. A steady passer, Ratliff has been able to contribute in multiple categories for the Warriors throughout her prep career.
Amelia Wallace Amelia Wallace S Floyd Central | 2022 State KY : A sophomore setter, Wallace is a student-athlete from Floyd Central. Wallace was a key contributor for 15th Region champion Floyd Central (30-8) in 2019, logging 424 assists, 113 digs, 62 kills and 42 service aces. Agile, Wallace has shown the ability to run offenses and deliver assists regularly. Wallace is among the most experienced players due back for reigning 15th Region champion Floyd Central in the 2020 season.
