Bowling Green- With only 2 seniors graduated in the 2019 class, the Bowling Green Purples will return all of their starters and add even more talented underclassmen to their team. They ended their season 14-17, but all of the girls are ready for redemption this year. Captain and senior, Anna Neal, will help the lead team at her middle hitting position as well as class of 2020 DS, Makenna Twyman, and class of 2020 right side, Kenley Woodyard. The Purples also gained a basically brand new coaching staff with a new head coach, Tim Sharp, and assistants: Morgan Roberts and Lauren Brown. Sharp will definitely help the team become technically sound and improve their game fully.
Allen-County Scottsville- Finishing with a 20-12 record, Allen County has made significant strides in their program with winning two district back to back championships and advancing to the region tournament. Shelby Keegan has been their coach for the past two years, and she has really transformed the program and advanced the Lady Patriots skill set. Some players that will help the lead the team is future sophomore, Ana Walker, who hits middle for the squad and Chloe Cook, who showed impressive numbers this past year at ALL positions. Cook will be a huge leader for the team as they continue their road to improvement in 2020!
Warren East- The Lady Raiders are truly one of those teams that show a huge step of growth every year. They really started from the bottom and made their way to the top with an 18-16 record in 2019 and finished fifth in the region. Can you only imagine what this next year in 2020 will bring? Warren East will have a new starting freshman setter, Jada Knight, that will help with their success as well as other key players like sophomore DS, Cayden Vandiver and senior outside hitter, Caroline Forrester. Be on the lookout for this country strong team!
