Each member of the Rolling Hills senior class is receiving interest from multiple college volleyball programs.
Here are three Rolling Hills seniors to watch.
Cierra Merrick: One of the most accomplished volleyball players in the state, Merrick is a middle hitter. In 2019, Merrick recorded 413 kills, 88 blocks, 243 assists and 45 aces for Rolling Hills. Merrick, who hit for .632, was named the KCSAA State Tournament MVP. She earned First Team All-American and Tournament Offensive MVP honors from the NACA. A KCSAA First Team All-Region selection and All-State selection, Merrick continues to excel.
Lindsey Castle: A setter, Castle thrived for Rolling Hills throughout the 2019 season. One of the most underrated setters on any level in the state, Castle posted 406 assists, 135 kills and 57 aces for Rolling Hills in 2019. Castle is a vocal leader who runs the offense efficiently and identifies blockers consistently. Earlier in her prep career, Castle garnered First Team All-State and First Team All-Region honors from the KCSAA.
Bella Higdon: A right side hitter, Higdon is another underrated prep volleyball player. Higdon logged 104 kills and a team-high 84 aces for Rolling Hills during the 2019 season. The Rolling Hills right side hitter was honored as First Team All-Region and Second Team All-State in 2019.
