This summer we decided to introduce an all bounce-back team. The listed consisted of players who would have contributed to their respective varsity teams had not been for an injury or other circumstances. The one silver lining we can take from the current pandemic is many more games are available for live stream. This means we at Prep Dig Mo can see more players and teams than we’ve been accustomed to. Last week we were able to check out Lee’s Summit host St. Teresa’s Academy. Lee’s Summit is coming off a stellar 2019 season and return many key pieces to that squad in Kendall Boone, Ashlyn BellamyAshlynBellamy5'10" | OHLee's Summit High School | 2023MO, Samantha Nguyen, and Jordan Stout to name a handful. One name that is missing is sophomore setter Makya Clayton. She would have been one of those key pieces but a dislocated knee cap forced her to miss her freshman campaign. After a successful rehab, she returned to the court this fall and you can quickly see the excitement surrounding her last season. We were able to catch up with Clayton and ask her some questions.
