A good presence at the net is vital for teams willing to make deep runs in tournaments and these five schools will have some of the best in business at the Washington state Class 4A in the upcoming season.
Sadie Bacon Sadie Bacon 6'2" | MB Issaquah | 2021 State WA – Middle-Blocker – Senior – Issaquah
Sadie Bacon Sadie Bacon 6'2" | MB Issaquah | 2021 State WA ranks first at prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking and one of the reasons why she’s up there is her blocking ability. Last season, the 6’2” Issaquah middle-blocker excelled at the net, registering 175 blocks for the Eagles to an average of 1.8 per set, including a pair of 12-block performances against Liberty and Eastside Catholic. She was also an All-State team honorable mention.
Karli Tri Karli Tri 6'2" | MB Lake Stevens | 2021 State WA – Middle-Blocker – Senior – Lake Stevens
Karli Tri Karli Tri 6'2" | MB Lake Stevens | 2021 State WA was one of the best players for Lake Stevens’ State Championship’s finalist team in 2019. The 6’2” middle-blocker was a force at the net and earned an All-State first-team nomination for her game. Her 51 blocks over the season weren’t eye-popping and there’s certainly potential for improvement, but were easily the best mark in the Vikings’ roster. She ranks sixth at prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking.
Krisee Copeland – Middle-Blocker – Junior – Auburn Riverside
Krisee Copeland certainly knows how to make her presence felt at the net and she did it a number of times during Auburn Riverside’s campaign that ended on fourth place at last year’s State Championship. The 6’1” middle-blocker is very active at the net and is always looking for ways to stop the Ravens’ opponents with her good blocking technique. She was a member of the All-State second team last season.
Zoe Crimin – Middle-Blocker – Junior- West Valley
Zoe Crimin has a huge potential and she’s just scratching its surface with West Valley. As a 6’3” prospect, the middle-blocker was a key member of West Valley’s campaign last year and even though the Rams had only a brief State Championship appearance in 2019, Crimin did just enough to impress with her blocking game as she received an All-State team honorable mention.
Jacyn Bamis Jacyn Bamis 6'1" | MB Gonzaga Prep | 2021 State WA – Middle-Blocker – Senior – Gonzaga Prep
Jacyn Bamis Jacyn Bamis 6'1" | MB Gonzaga Prep | 2021 State WA showed massive progress during her junior season with Gonzaga Prep last year and much of her improvements came at the net. The 6’1” middle-blocker was a factor for the Bullpups and was responsible for 53 block points over the season, including seven against Mount Spokane. Her strong display earned her an All-State team honorable mention and the 12th spot at prepdig.com’s class of 2021 ranking.
