The Three Stars of the Game
S, Taylor Strickland Taylor Strickland 5'9" | S Junction City | 2021 State KS , 5’9”, (’22 Ranked No. 69) – Strickland did not have a huge night, but a productive one. She had two kills and six digs and did a solid job setting in the victory over Topeka West. She did not get many assist chances in the loss to Seaman.
MB, Ava Deguzman, – Here is a sophomore to with a ton of potential. She is a triple-threat player. She can hit, serve, and receive. She finished the night for Junction City with 23 digs, four kills, and one block. She also excels in the classroom with a current GPA of 4.1. She looks like a solid NAIA recruit.
MB, Megan Hunt, 6’1”– Hunt had the most impressive performance for those in the senior class. She 11 digs, five kills, and three blocks in the 25-19, 25-22 win over Topeka West. She had seven more digs and two blocks in the nightcap. She projects to be a solid JUCO recruit.
Don’t Sleep On
Junior Joem Taola contributed well for the Blue Jays. She had nine digs and eight kills for Junction City. She looks like an outside hitter that could contribute at the JUCO level.
