Lincoln County, following an appearance in the 12th Region Volleyball Tournament, Lincoln County ended the 2019 season 13-16.
Here are five Lincoln County seniors to watch.
Emery Bertram: An outside hitter, Bertram led Lincoln County at the net in 2019. Bertram delivered a team-high 142 kills along with 21 digs and 31 service aces during the 2019 high school volleyball season. A strong hitter from the left side who is athletic, Bertram finishes strong consistently.
Kaylie Cotter: A libero, Cotter is a defensive standout for reigning 45th District champion Lincoln County. Producing during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Cotter registered 211 digs as well as 33 service aces.Cotter possesses solid defensive skills in addition to being an accurate passer.
Sarah Beth Grimes: A setter, Grimes is among the leaders for Lincoln County. Pacing Lincoln County in a key category, Grimes recorded a team-high 425 assists during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Along with pacing Lincoln County in assists, Grimes posted 151 digs, 77 kills, 42 blocks and 40 service aces. Grimes is a stellar passer.
Kaylynn Smith: Another outside hitter, Smith produced at the net regularly for Lincoln County in 2019. Smith exited the 2019 high school volleyball season with 135 kills, 9 blocks, 51 digs and 29 service aces. A go-to hitter, Smith adjusts to sets routinely.
Jada Whited: An outside hitter/defensive specialist, Whited is a versatile performer. Whited recorded 34 kills, 56 digs and 24 service aces for Lincoln County during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Comfortable playing in both the front row and back row, Whited reads opposing defenses well.
