The Three Stars of the Night
OH, Olivia Lubbers, 5’8” – Lubbers was not initially ranked in the Prep Dig Kansas players rankings for the Class of 2022. She will however be included the next time they are expanded and updated. Lubbers finished with a team-high 18 kills in the two wins over the Chargers. Lubbers also added 11 digs. She plays smart, can jump, and has a big reach. She is a fringe Division II prospect, and a must look at for NAIA and JUCO recruiters.
OH, Jenna Waters, 5’10”, (’21 Ranked No. 128) – The bottom line with Waters is she is a court leader. She has a knack for getting a kill or a dig just at the right time. Waters, a senior, is a rally starter and a rally killer. She had seven kills and 11 digs in Rock Creek’s 25-22, 13-25, 25-11 three-set victory. She finished the two matches with 11 kills and four service aces. She is a JUCO level recruit and looking for her first college offer.
MH, Grace Gehl, 5’8” – GG is a high-intensity, explosive volleyball player. She tallied nine blocks and nine kills in the two Rock Creek victories. She really turned up the heat in the Mustangs 25-21, 25-22 win in the nightcap. Other members of the team seem to feed offer her injury. JUCO volleyball coaches would do themselves a favor by giving her a look.
