Senior outside hitter Morgan Meier was solid for the Hutchinson Salthawks in three matches at Maize on September 19.

Hutchinson knocked off Kapaun Mt. Carmel, were beat in three sets by Valley Center and fell to Maize.

Here is a scouting report on the top performers against the Maize Eagles.

The Three Stars of the Match

OH, Morgan Meier, 5’6” – Meier has the biggest upside on the Hutchinson roster. She is a solid two-way player. The senior finished with 13 digs and seven kills against Maize. She could be an NAIA or Juco recruit.

OH, Maliyah Johnson, 5’10” – Johnson was all over the court on Saturday. Hutchinson does not substitute often and Johnson played the entirety of all three matches. Against the Maize Eagles, Johnson tallied 21 digs, five kills, and two blocks. The senior is a solid JUCO recruit.
