Here is a scouting report on Schutter and the other Wabaunsee players who had productive matches.
The Three Stars of the Night
MH, Lauren Schutter Lauren Schutter 6'2" | MB Wabaunsee | 2022 State KS 6’1” (’22 Ranked No. 2) – Big 12 coaches and other DI volleyball scouts better start getting in line to recruit Schutter. She is the epitome of former pro wrestler Lex Luger’s moniker. She is the “Total Package.” She is tall, can jump, hits hard, and knows how and when to utilize a tip. She finished with a total of 25 kills and seven blocks against Rock Creek.
MH, Madison Wertzberger Madison Wertzberger 5'10" | MB Wabaunsee | 2021 State KS , 5’11” (’21 Ranked No. 121)– Wertzbeger is one of only two seniors on the Wabaunsee roster. She tallied 22 digs and five kills in the Charger’s 22-25, 25-13, 211-25 three-set opening loss to Rock Creek. She followed that up with kills in four blocks in the final match of the night. Wertzberger would be a solid JUCO recruit.
OH, Jordan Magette, 5’6 – Magette arguably might be the best athletic talent on the Chargers squad. She is a solid two-row player who does not come out of the game. She has a really solid serve and is another solid JUCO prospect. She totaled 23 kills and 8 kills in the two matches. Her best effort came in the 21-25, 22-25 loss to the Mustangs.
