Here is a scouting report on the top performers in Seaman’s Centennial League victories.
The Three Stars of the Game
S, Camryn Turner Camryn Turner 5'7" | S Seaman | 2021 State KS , 5’7”, (’21 Ranked No. 11) – Turner is the real deal, and is making an argument to move up in the Class of 2021 rankings. She can flat out jump and play all over the court. She finished the two matches with 13 kills and eight digs, Turner is verbally committed to compete for Kansas University.
L, Laynee Brown, 5’5” – Keep an eye on Brown. Seaman’s regular starting Libero missed the game with an injury and the sophomore filled in admirably. Brown finished with 28 digs in the two wins, 16 of them coming in Seaman’s 25-6,25-7 win over Junction City. While it is too early to tell, college recruiters from DII schools on down should add Brown to their scouting lists.
MH, Ellee Meier, 5’10” – Meier, a junior, contributed well in both matches. She doesn’t have to be a leader on the 2020 team but could fill that role in 2021. She had five kills in the two matches.
Freshman Futures
Keep a close watch on freshman Taylin Stallbaumer. She started for the varsity team in both matches and plays all over the court. She was solid on both the front and back rows. She has six kills in the opening match against the Blue Jays. She played a larger role on defense in the Vikings 25-13, 25-19 win over Topeka West.
