Leslie is an amazing Libero from Underwood and is wonderful to watch. She will sacrifice life and limb to get to the ball and nothing touches the ground if she can help it. Her stats so far this season are 23 assists, 3.1 DPS, and 6 aces with a 92.6% serve efficiency.
Abbey Jones Abbey Jones DS/L Red Oak | 2021 State IA (2021, Libero, Red Oak)
I have been watching Abbey play for about 7 years now and she just improves every year. She has quick reflexes and intelligence on the court that is hard to come by. Her stats so far this season are 32 assists, 28 kills, 5.0 DPS, and 18 aces with an 88.3% serve efficiency.
Landry Miller (2023, Libero, St.Albert)
Landry was brought up and made libero this season for the Saintes and has been killing it! Her stats so far this season are 15 assists, 3 kills, 3.2 DPS, and 11 aces with 87.8% serve efficiency.
Marissa Ring Marissa Ring 5'7" | DS/L Tri-Center | 2022 State IA (2022, DS/OH, Tri-Center)
Marissa was a DS last year and this year I notice she is also an OH, probably to help fill the void by an injured player in Tatum Carlson Tatum Carlson 5'6" | DS/L Tri-Center | 2022 State IA early this season. I have watched her play for 5 years so far so I wanted to write about how she is contributing to her team this year since they do not have a libero on their roster and I was definitely writing about her as the defensive player that I would normally expect to be the Libero. Her stats this year so far are 6 assists, 1.3 KPS, 3 total blocks, 2.9 DPS, and 14 aces with a 95.9% serve efficiency. Players like Marissa are often overlooked but to me are the bread and butter of their teams, talented, highly versatile, and really athletic players willing to step in at a moment’s notice to help fill a void left in the roster due to injury or illness. Nicely done, Marissa.
