There is no doubt that she could play Volleyball at the DII level as well.
OH, Madison McClain, 5’8” – The Halstead senior is very quick and is a two-way player. McClain had eight kills and 16 digs in the first two matches of the day for the Dragons. She has a 4.0 GPA and would be a solid recruit for an in-state JUCO program.
DS, Josie Engel, 5’7” – Engel’s best performance came in a 25-8. 25-23 win over Little River. She finished that match with six kill and nine digs. She communicates well. She has played at a variety of different positions for Halstead. She is athletic enough to fill a utility role for a JUCO team.
Freshman Futures
One freshman to keep on eye on in the future is Dominique Schutte. At 5’8”, Schutte is a raw talent waiting to improve her skills and to see if she hits another growth spurt. The freshman starts on the varsity and had five kills and two blocks in Halstead’s first two matches of the Invitational. She has long arms and a big reach. As she grows and gets stronger over the next three years she could be a top recruit from the Class of 2024.
