Who were the top performers of the Prep Dig Fall League?
The Thunder
The Thunder rolled through the competition of PDFL with dominant performances from multiple players. Another major attacker for the Thunder is Berkley Mischler Berkley Mischler 6'1" | MB Appleton North | 2022 State WI who is such a force on the offensive and defensive part of the game.

Lauren Borchardt Lauren Borchardt 5'8" | OH Manitowoc Lincoln | 2021 State WI and Mary Satori Mary Satori 5'11" | OH Manitowoc Lincoln | 2022 State WI – Manitowoc Lincoln
The outside hitter duo from Manitowoc do it all for the Ships. Borchardt is so electric as a leaper and really can hammer on the pin, she’s also really solid from the backrow. Satori consistently scores for and can be creative with how she uses the block and can find an open spot with a roll to an open spot.
Ella Buddenhagen Ella Buddenhagen 5'11" | OH Kimberly | 2022 State WI firing on all cylinders this morning for K-Town closing on a win against Red Raiders pic.twitter.com/y1IXYkTqJU
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) September 19, 2020
Ella Buddenhagen Ella Buddenhagen 5'11" | OH Kimberly | 2022 State WI – K-Town
Kimbelry lost five key starters from last year and Buddenhaggen has really stepped up for “K-Town”, comprised of athletes from Kimberly High School. A six rotation outside, Buddenhaggen is one of those athletes who has really made the jump to the next level over the summer. She can handle plenty of serve receive duties, attacking in all rotations, and has really opened up her shot selection with how she can be very creative in finding a way to score points.
Anna Bohrer Anna Bohrer 6'0" | DS/L Verona | 2021 State WI of Verona has been one of the best setters in the PDFL. 2021 major sleeper! pic.twitter.com/Yt4zOBSH77
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) October 20, 2020
Anna Bohrer Anna Bohrer 6'0" | DS/L Verona | 2021 State WI and Delaney Mcintosh – Wildcats
Bohrer is a 6’0 setter/right side that does so much for her Verona team and one of her favorite targets is Delaney McIntosh Delaney McIntosh 5'10" | DS/L Verona | 2022 State WI , a six rotation outside. Bohrer can block, defend, and from the front row, can hammer on the right side to score points. She can also put up a great ball or attack. Mcintosh has an aggressive approach and can really do whatever it takes for her team to keep the ball on their side.
Maggie Allaman Maggie Allaman 5'10" | MB Sun Prairie | 2021 State WI and Payton Addink Payton Addink 6'0" | OH Sun Prairie | 2021 State WI – Sun Prairie
Two savvy veterans who have done so much for Sun Prairie in their careers. Alleman will head to St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and Addink will play at MN-Duluth. Alleman has a fast twitch style ot her game where she can really capitalize on a high tempo set while Addink is another six rotation pin who can pass and terminate in and out of system.
Great matchup with teams out of the FVA. Bri Geurts just consistently doing what she does pic.twitter.com/c0tMOIUoRK
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) October 13, 2020
Brianna Geurts Brianna Geurts 6'0" | MB De Pere | 2021 State WI – Cardinals
Geurts can be seen playing any position for the Cardinals, comprised of athletes from De Pere. She scores from anywhere, but her versatility is what really sets her apart. With an overall improved backcourt game, Geurts’ game has evolved where she played mostly out of the middle to being able to score and defend from anywhere.
Grace Perret Grace Perret 5'9" | OH Green Bay Preble | 2021 State WI and Amber Vande Hei – Sting
Perret is always steady, solid, and consistent with being able to attack and also provide a consistent pass to get the offense rolling. Vande Hei plays well above the net, she touches high and she can really can problems to the opposing attackers with her ability to block.
Jordan LaScala Jordan LaScala 6'0" | OH Middleton | 2023 State WI and Evinae Jordee Evinae Jordee 5'9" | S Middleton | 2023 State WI – Middleton
The Sophomore duo from Middleton was connecting all fall with Jordee being the smooth setter with the left hand that could attack or find her favorite target in LaScala. LaScala is a big point scorer from the pin, but she is also a big threat to score from the backrow.
Appleton East led by Senior setter Kellyn Kennedy Kellyn Kennedy 5'9" | S Appleton East | 2021 State WI is one of the most improved teams from the beginning of the teams. The whole squad extremely athletic. pic.twitter.com/xP3a6UMMev
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) October 19, 2020
Kellyn Kennedy Kellyn Kennedy 5'9" | S Appleton East | 2021 State WI – Appleton East
Kennedy is extremely dynamic as a setter and makes so many positive things happen for East. She gets her hands to the ball and can attack herself. East was consistently improving over the course of the league and that was in large part to Kennedy being able to put her attackers in position to terminate.
Izzy Coon – St. Marys Springs Academy
Another dynamic setter, Coon is able to do so much for the Ledgers. She’s scrappy, she’s a leader, and does plenty of positive things for her side of the net. She can step in and attack if needed, but as a setter she can create so many opportunities.
New on the radar 🔥
Calli Haus of Fondy Class of 2022 pin. She talks, calls the ball, super active, jumpy, athletic. Fun player to watch! pic.twitter.com/XS16LU3bqq— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) September 29, 2020
Calli Haus – Fond du Lac
Haus is a fun athlete to watch where she is constantly engaged with her teammates, calling for the ball, looking to attack anywhere. She has a really athletic style where she can score from the front and backrow and isn’t afraid to go for a big swing. FDL really improved throughout the league and showed they had plenty of depth.
Lot of athleticism with teams out of the FRCC. 2022 pin Olivia Sullivan from Notre Dame Academy has had a big fall season! Cadence Maxfield setting can do it all as well. pic.twitter.com/CtR8DQ5yfJ
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) October 19, 2020
Cadence Maxfield and Olivia Sullivan – Notre Dame Academy
These two made a solid combination for NDA with Maxfield as someone who can set or swing from the rightside, but she definitely has a playmaking ability to create opportunities for herself and teammates to score points. Sullivan is really rising on the radar, she’s long and athletic where she can really hammer from the pin. Only a Junior, Sullivan is up and coming in the area and one to keep tabs on.
Lizzie Binder Lizzie Binder 6'2" | OH Sheboygan North | 2021 State WI – RVB
Binder had to set and swing for RVB which consists of athletes from Sheboygan North. The Raiders finished the league with two big wins against Kimberly and Middleton. Binder is a CSU Bakersfield commit and will primarily be an outside hitter who can really serve receive and pass as well as provide a big block, but for this squad she would set from the backrow. Her IQ and court awareness is always a major strength to her game.
Kiersten Kraus Kiersten Kraus 5'10" | S Neenah | 2021 State WI – Ball of Duty
Kraus might be one of the best overall athletes in the area. She can do some special things on the court. The future Kent State setter knows how to make things happen for her side of the net and has been a key player for Neenah over her career.
