Reigning champion McCracken County pulled away to defeat rival Paducah Tilghman 3-1 in the 2nd District Volleyball Tournament championship match at St. Mary High School on Thursday, Oct. 22. 

Productive McCracken County won 25-17, 21-25, 25-17, 25-15.

McCracken County improved to 18-4 after notching the win.

Following the loss, Paducah Tilghman dropped to 7-6.

Both McCracken County and Paducah Tilghman advance to the 1st Region Volleyball Tournament.

Each team featured multiple top performers during the 2nd District Volleyball Tournament title match, some of whom are among the most talented players in the state.

The top performers for McCracken County were Caroline Sivills (11 kills, 2 blocks, 1 dig), Drew Mullinax (9 kills, 2 blocks, 1 assist, 12 digs, 2 service aces), Jayda Harris (9 kills, 2 blocks), Adele Mavigliano (7 kills,  blocks, 1 service ace), Piper Mullinax (34 assists, 12 digs, 4 service aces) and Patti Wilson (12 digs, 1 assist, 2 service aces).
