Ashland defeated familiar opponent Greenup County for the third time in the 2020 high school volleyball season, moving back above the .500 mark.
The Kittens and Musketeers hail from neighboring districts.

The top performers for 64th District member Ashland were Bethany Ledford (8 kills, 17 digs, 3 service aces), Delaney Stacy (7 kills, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 5 digs), Emma Sloan (5 kills), Gracen Layman (4 kills, 1 block, 1 dig, 6 service aces), Sydney Clark (2 kills, 1 assist, 12 digs, 2 service aces), Carleigh Conley Carleigh Conley S Ashland Blazer | 2024 State KY (2 kills, 1 block, 24 assists, 5 digs, 1 service ace) and Sophie Suman (2 kills, 1 assist, 9 digs).
The top performers for 63rd District member Greenup County were Caroline Adkins (10 kills, 3 blocks, 1 service ace), MaKenna Munn (6 kills, 3 digs), Jessie Zaph (5 kills, 5 service aces), Madison Wolfe (3 kills, 1 block) and Desarae Willis (1 kill, 18 assists).
After being sidelined due to COVID-19, Ashland and Greenup County each opened the 2020 high school volleyball season on September 8.
Both Ashland and Greenup County will compete in the 16th Region Volleyball Tournament later in the month.
