In a 50th District volleyball match which featured several talented players, Corbin shut out visiting South Laurel 3-0 on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Corbin won 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.

The Redhounds continued to win after blanking North Laurel 3-0 (25-5, 25-13, 25-12) two days earlier. 

After notching the win, reigning 13th Region champion Corbin improved to 9-5 overall and 5-0 in the 50th District.

South Laurel dropped to 9-3 overall and 2-2 in the district following loss. 

The top performers for Corbin were Emma Krutsinger (14 kills, 1 block, 10 assists, 8 digs, 1 service ace), Chloe Adams (9 kills, 18 digs, 7 service aces), Cara Whitus (6 kills, 3 blocks, 10 assists, 8 digs, 5 service aces), Morgan Stacy (6 kills, 3 blocks, 1 dig), Ava Maguet (18 assists, 5 digs), Hannah Baker (2 kills, 4 blocks, 1 dig, 2 service aces) and Isley Walker (13 digs). 

The top performers for South Laurel were Mackenzie Rollins (6 kills, 2 blocks, 4 digs, 1 service ace), Rachel Presley (5 kills, 1 block), Caroline Pagan (5 kills, 5 digs), Malorie Perkins (13 digs, 1 service ace), Autumn Bales (1 kill, 8 digs, 2 service aces) and Kristin McKeehan (16 assists, 2 digs, 3
