Despite the cancellation of the state championship tournament by the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association, there are plenty of impact players ready to make a huge impact on the 2020-21 high school season. Here are the top 5 players from the state finals who are ready to make this season, their best yet:


Elayna Duprey, a senior middle hitter from Flint Hill (Oakton, VA), starts off our list. She was voted by MaxPreps as the best player in the state of Virginia for the coming season. The uncommitted senior is a dominant hitter and blocker for a division 1 VISAA powerhouse. Her team has won three straight state titles, including a 31-1 campaign in the 2019 season. Elayna is a dual-sport athlete in volleyball and basketball. She was named first-team all-state last season and is a highly sought after recruit for multiple levels of college programs.
