The 5’11 senior averaged 3.9 kills per set while terminating at an efficiency of .355. The Titans finished at 11-1 in conference play as Adams’ role was as their primary offensive threat. She terminated just shy of 50% of her attempts. She contributed well in other facets as she was among team leaders in total service aces while adding nearly two blocks and seven digs per match. She was an honorable mention all-Ohio selection.
Olivia Baumann – Eaton
Baumann provided big offense for the Eagles at 3.8 kills per set. The 3rd team all-Ohio honoree hit at a .293 efficiency while adding over seven digs per match. Just a sophomore, she has asserted herself as a key offensive threat and helps to stablilize the future for Eaton’s program as a productive pin attacker.
Makenna Belcher – Highland
A 1st team all-Ohio selection for Division II, Belcher was highly effective and efficient offensively for the Fighting Scots. She terminated 3.2 kills per set on a .458 attack efficiency, which included her terminating over 55% of her attempts. She has a big double-arm lift to help her get up well and creates good torque and power throw a fast bow and arrow swing. She was a veteran competitor for Highland and added over 10 digs per match in guiding her team to an undefeated conference season.
Grace Wilking – Roger Bacon
Wilking’s biggest contributions came on the defensive side as she has good balance and patience in her preparation for the opponent’s offense. She has good reactions to the ball as she averaged nearly 12 digs per match. On the offensive side, she contributed over two kills per set, utilizing her tools aggressively through her approach work. She was an honorable mention all-Ohio selection in helping lead the Spartans to a regional final appearance.
Kara Zaucha – Archbishop Hoban
The Canisius College commit averaged over four kills per set while hitting at a .294 attack efficiency. She works well through her slow-to-fast footwork and approach that leads to good lift in the air. Her veteran skills provided big play for the Knights as she has good court sense and vision to serve and swing with effective placement while adding nine digs per match to her team’s effort. She was an honorable mention all-Ohio selection for 2020.
