Continue ReadingIt has been a challenge for the class of 2021 when it comes to the recruiting process. College athletes have been given another year of eligibility which cuts down on their needs. Of course, they didn’t get much of their club season last year and high school seasons were cut short, but these top recruits have announced their commitment to continue on as college athletes.
Kenedi McCabe – Virterbo University
- The senior, setter who has been the face of Mabel Canton volleyball for the last 5 years has finally announced her decision to attend and play at Viterbo Univ. This will be a great home for the versatile athlete who recorded over 3,000 career assists but also added hundreds of kills with her near 30 inch vertical. Look for her to step right onto the court for them. We anticipate more records to come for McCabe.
Kira Fallert Kira Fallert 5'11" | OH Concordia Academy | 2021 State MN – University of Northern Iowa (UNI)
- The Panthers are eager to welcome Fallert and seem certain she is ready to take the court with the team. They signed two athletes, Fallert from Minnesota, and the other from Iowa- Layanna Green. The head coach, Bobbi Peterson, had this to say about Fallert, “
“Kira has been around the sport of volleyball her entire life and has two sisters and a mom that have competed at the college level,” said Petersen. “We look for Kira to compete as a six rotation player as she has a very high volleyball IQ and strengths in all areas of the game. As a defender and passer she moves naturally on the court and has a strong understanding of her platform. As a front court player, Kira has the ability to see the court and block well and is very versatile in her ability to hit different shots and areas of the court as an attacker. She is a competitor and a great teammate and will also bring many intangibles to our team.”

- The talented setter comes off a great season with Concordia Academy. Both she and Fallert announced their commitment together on the national signing day. While Fallert will only be a few hours from home, Weichbrodt will bring Minnesota nice to Thibodaux, Louisiana. She will take on the Division 1 Southland Conference.
Jordyn Brownlee- College of St Benedict
- The Tri-City United senior will stay near-by. Brownlee is a talented left-handed, right-side hitter. She ended her high school career with 16 kills against Sibly East. She will stay ready for her college career playing at Northern Lights.
Ryley Frye Ryley Frye 5'10" | S Robbinsdale Armstrong | 2021 State MN – University of Texas El Paso
- The Robbinsdale Armstrong setter will head south to play in El Paso. Her team finished the season 6-5 in the tough Northwest Suburban conference but that is not a reflection of Frye’s talent. She has been on top NL team for the last few years and will be a great setter for the college.
