Big 9
- Northfield (13-0); They rolled through the Big 9 unbothered by the competition and never dropped a single set. Leading the perfect season was young, setter Teagan Timperley (2023.) She finished the season just shy of 500 assists. Megan Reilly (2021), Sydney Jaynes (2023) and Sylvia Koenig (2021) all were key attackers for the team. The sophomores Timperley, Jaynes, and also Annelise Larson will likely maintain their their position for the next few years.
- Rochester Mayo (7-1); The Spartans had a strong season too finishing second. They struggled with a few injuries and quarantines interfering with the schedule. When they played Northfield on November 6th, they did not have ranked athlete, Hannah Hanson (2023.) If Hanson was able to set and hit, things may have ended differently. Classmate Madison Meyer had an excellent performance with 11 kills, 8 digs and 3 ace serves.
Metro West
- Chaska (10-1); The team went undefeated in the conference with their only loss coming in non-conference match vs. St Michael Albertville. Senior setter, Payton Auseth, had an incredibly year stepping into the setting role this year. She had a huge night against St Louis finishing with 45 assists and 15 digs.
- Bloomington Jefferson (12-1); Another team we had hoped to see battle it out in playoffs, yet they made the most of every opportunity. Even beating AA Concordia Academy. They were led by setter Kelly McArthur, who just signed to play at Niagara University.
Metro East
- North St. Paul (10-2); Senior, Jenna Rubbelke, took her experience from the 2019 state tournament and used it to lead her somewhat younger, and inexperienced team. Likewise, junior, Eriel Carr stepped into the offensive leadership role.
- Simley (9-3); The two teams faced off in the final match of the year. And despite a slightly less impressive record, it felt like it was unofficially a conference showdown. Simley won in 4 sets this time, despite earlier loss 2-3. It was a great way to end her career for senior, Abby Kepper (S) and Brynn Rogers (L). They will return a strong group led by Chomp Danso (2022) and Naomi Romslo (2023) for the 2021 season.
