Here are five 11th Region freshmen on the rise.
Reese Collins: A Sayre freshman hitter, Collins was a consistent contributor throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season. Excelling as a freshman, Collins delivered 145 kills, 29 blocks, 48 digs and 44 service aces. Aggressive at the net, Collins possesses a solid skill set.
Delaney Gash: A Paul Laurence Dunbar freshman outside hitter/opposite, Gash is a talented versatile young high school volleyball player. Thriving as a freshman, Gash recorded 144 kills, 35 blocks and 28 digs. A versatile hitter who can land hits from either side, Gash is carrying momentum over into her sophomore season.
Ananiah Huguely: A Madison Central freshman middle hitter/outside hitter, Huguely was among the leaders for her high school team during its latest campaign. Huguely posted 63 kills, 30 blocks and 14 digs as a freshman. Among the most underrated young prep volleyball players in Central Kentucky, Huguely is a reliable hitter from the left side.
Mia Telechbush: A Lafayette freshman defensive specialist, Telechbush made an impact in her latest volleyball campaign. Telechbush appeared in 12 of Lafayette’s 21 matches in the 2020 high school volleyball season. A young freshman defensive standout, Telechbush is a productive back row hitter.
Kinley Verhoven: A Tates Creek freshman defensive specialist, Verhoven produced regularly during the 2020 season. Verhoven appeared in 13 of Tates Creek’s 21 matches during the latest prep volleyball campaign. Verhoven showed improvement during her freshman season, displaying the ability to cover the court.
