Madison Hauskins Madison Hauskins 5'9" | OH Clackamas | 2023 OR , 5’9″, S/OH, Clackamas High School, Portland Volleyball Club
Hauskins was a dynamic player on Clackamas High School’s Junior Varsity team, showcasing her versatility as both a setter and an outside hitter. Being only a freshman, she was not afraid to take on a leadership role for her team. She has naturally good hands and does a good job creating opportunities for her teammates to terminate the ball. Last club season she played all around as a setter and an outside hitter for Portland Volleyball Club’s 16-1 National team. With the Cavaliers graduating seven seniors in 2020, Hauskins will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020/2021 season.
Mia Starr Mia Starr 5'10" | S Central Catholic | 2023 State #176 Nation OR , 5’8″, S/RS, Central Catholic High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy
Starr had a stellar freshman season, competing with the Central Catholic Rams, who finished second at the State tournament. Being one of two freshmen on the Varsity team, she stepped into a different role this season. Behind two seasoned setters, Lauren Stemple Lauren Stemple 5'7" | S Central Catholic | 2022 OR (2022) and Kealani Rosa Kealani Rosa 5'6" | S Central Catholic | 2021 State OR (2021), she saw court time as a serving and defensive specialist. She has very good decision-making skills when running the offense. She consistently puts up hittable balls for her attackers. She does an exceptional job of not just setting to set, but being intentional about who she sets, to keep her opponents off-balance, leading to a highly efficient offense. Last club season she played for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 15-1 National team.
Makenna Wiepert Makenna Wiepert 5'11" | S Wilsonville | 2023 State OR , 5’6″, S/RS, Wilsonville High School, Athena Volleyball Academy
Wiepert had a solid freshman season, competing with Wilsonville High School, who finished second at the 5A State tournament. Being the only freshman on the Varsity team, she saw court time as a serving specialist, as the Wildcats had senior setter Kennedy Juranek, a Montana State University – Billings commit, running a 5-1. She held a 25.9% ace percentage for the season. However, when given the opportunity to set, she rose to the challenge, out of 141 setting attempts, she had zero errors. This past club season she was really honing her attacking skills on the right side, becoming a dominant six rotation player. Last club season she played for Athena Volleyball Academy’s 15-1 National team.
Amaya Parnell, 5’9″, S/RS, Central Catholic High School, Athena Volleyball Academy
Parnell was a constant source of high energy and leadership on the Central Catholic High School Rams Junior Varsity team. She is a natural leader and uses her high energy and big voice to become a presence on and off the court. Parnell has a high volleyball IQ and an all-out mentality which makes her an incredibly valuable asset to any team. When playing right side, she was able to put the ball away with her powerful swing and tricky shots. She has a tough jump serve that garnered 63 aces this past high school season, with an ace percentage of 28.90%. Last club season she played for Athena Volleyball Academy’s 15-1 National team.
Grace Wollmuth Grace Wollmuth 6'0" | MB Lake Oswego | 2023 State OR , 5’9″, S, Lake Oswego High School Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy
Wollmuth had a breakout season for the Lake Oswego High School Lakers, helping them advance to the State tournament. Being the lone freshman on the team, she stepped into a huge role in her first year as their starting setter, running a 6-2 with Kora Butvill Kora Butvill 5'9" | S Lake Oswego | 2021 State OR (2021). An incredibly versatile athlete she is not afraid to step into any position on the court. A great example of this is last club season when she stepped into play middle blocker during the finals in the CEVA Power League to beat OVJA 16-1 for the number one seed in CEVA. She continues to grow, both in skill and in height, becoming a more dominant athlete each season. Last club season she played for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 15-1 National team.
Sophie Fast Sophie Fast 5'9" | S Tualatin | 2023 State OR , 5’9″, S, Tualatin High School, Athena Volleyball Academy
Fast had a breakout season for the Tualatin High School Timberwolves, helping them advance to the first round of the 6A State playoffs. As the lone freshman to make the Varsity squad, that did not stop her from seeing court time. With sisters Jackie Phillips, a Cal State San Marcos freshman, and Josie Phillips Josie Phillips 5'8" | S Tualatin | 2022 State OR (2022) setting, she saw some time setting and hitting on the right side given her height. She has a ton of strength in her hands. A harder skill to learn, she has it naturally, so pushing the ball comes easier to her. A young setter, she is raw and has lots of potential. This past season she was getting into the rhythm of a much faster pace of game and learning to become more vocal as a leader of the court. Last club season she played for Athena Volleyball Academy 16-1 National team.
