Kylie was named All-Nebraska 1st team by the Omaha World Herald. She led her State Championship Team with 432 kills, 32 aces, 311 digs and 479 serve receives. Kylie has been a 6-rotation player for her Elkhorn South team AND team captain since freshman year. That tells you about her leadership skills on and off the court. Kylie has recently committed to Arkansas where she will play mainly defense but may take some swings as they love her court awareness and volleyball IQ. Watching her play at 5’7″ and her placement of balls–it’s really fun to watch. (plus she has a huge verticle (30″)!!

Mya had another stellar year. Mya led her Class C1 team to the State Championships with 532 kills, hitting at a fantastic clip of .406! She added 400 digs to her stats. Another top-notch 6-ro outside, she recently committed to Montana State. Her coach (also her Mom) states: “Mya is a great all around player. She is focused and willing to put in the work to become better every day.”

LeGrand is a solid setter with an outstanding ability for blocking in the front row. She shelled out 914 assists, 120 kills, 83 blocks and 364 digs for her state championship runner-up team Papillion-LaVista South. She has committed to play next level at Kansas State. They are getting a tremendous athlete in LeGrand.

I have watched Estella play many times and there’s really nothing that girl can’t dig. She’s quick on her feet, can read the hitters very well, and has the hustle to make plays happen that you just can’t fathom. She led Class A in digs with 615 and had close to 500 serve receives. Estella has committed to play college at Missouri.

Bekka has a very high ceiling. With her length and skill, she’s one of the best middles in the state. She was injured after moving to the Waverly district, so wasn’t able to get on the bigger stage this season but hopefully later in the spring she will be able to join her VCN team to continue to hone her skills. It’s been fun watching her develop and I hope she’s back in action soon.
We know all these athletes have worked hard at their craft. Don’t get caught up in what number you are, as many student-athletes are very similar in skill. Rankings are always fluid and can have drastic changes year to year especially at the 15’s and 16’s level when girls are still growing and developing.
