Fifty new players were added to the rankings and three of those started in the Top 10.
Here is a scouting report on five players who had productive 2020 high school seasons which got them added to the list.
OH, Lily Boughfman Lily Boughfman 6'0" | OH Little River | 2022 State KS , 6’0”, Little River (Ranked No. 6) – Volleyball coaches will have to arm wrestle with basketball coaches to ink Boughfman to a college LOI. She can take over volleyball matches as well as basketball games. She is one of the heaviest hitters I watched play in 2020. The Little River outside hitter finished the 2020 high school season with 323 kills and 276 digs. She also finished with 64 aces. Boughfman plays club ball with the Salt City Smash.
L, Vivian Kieffer Vivian Kieffer 5'6" | DS/L Shawnee Mission Northwest | 2022 State KS , 5’6”, Shawnee Mission Northwest (Ranked No. 9) – The Shawnee Mission Northwest libero is a solid recruit. She finished her 2020 high school season with 423 digs and 386 serve receptions. She is a quality communicator on the floor and will be an interesting college prospect. Kieffer plays club ball with MAVS KC.
S, Caitlin Bishop Caitlin Bishop 5'8" | S Lansing | 2022 State KS , 5’8”, Lansing (Ranked No. 10) – Bishop’s best attribute is she knows how to compete. She has a high-motor and likes to win. She finished the 2020 high school season with 940 assists, 185 digs, and 62 kills. She is a fringe Division I prospect, but she could be a top DII or NAIA recruit. Bishop plays club ball with Dynasty Academy.
OH, Olivia Mae Van Der Werff Olivia Mae Van Der Werff 6'0" | OH Lansing | 2022 State KS , 6’0”, Lansing (Ranked No. 13) – Van Der Werff had a huge season for the Lions and helped Lansing reach the Class 5A State title game in 2020. She amassed 385 kills and 21 blocks. She will be leaned on by Lansing to assist in punching a return ticket to the state tournament in 2021. Van Der Werff plays club ball with KC Power.
S, Emily Krebs Emily Krebs 5'5" | S Sabetha | 2022 State KS , 5’5”, Sabetha (Ranked No. 19) – Krebs is a talented setter, but she could play all over the court. The Sabetha setter finished her junior season with 965 assists and 234 digs. She also finished with 28 blocks, a high number for setters. Krebs plays club ball with NEK Storm.
