Bates shows good fluid movement as a pin attacker. She is efficient with her footwork in transition to get off the net and prepared to approach with good awareness of the development of the play. Her momentum build allows her to adjust her last two steps well to get to the ball and uses vision and a nice arm to attack aggressively whether challenging the block or in attacking gaps or a variety of zones on the opponent’s side. She has good movement as a blocker as well with strong hand penetration that can slow down attackers at the tape.
Caroline Endres – S | St. Ursula
With good court presence and demeanor as a setter, Endres shows great command of her team’s offense. She is efficient with her footwork to get in position and prepared early to set the ball when in system and uses consistent pursuit, hand, and body position in setting the full range of the court through both pins. This makes her a tough read. She has good touch and location and involves all of her hitters well through a varied offense. Her size and skill set also allow her to be an effective offensive threat at the net to turn and swing if needed.
Josie Niemeyer – MH | Taylor
A 2020 Cincinnati Hills 1st team all-leage honoree, Niemeyer carried a big offensive load for the Yellowjackets. She averaged 3.3 kills per set while hitting at a .210 attack efficiency. She utilizes her physical tools well to get make herself an available option offensively that leads to an aggressive arm in the air. At 5’9, she gets her feet to the ball well that helps her to be on balance in the air to create good pace through her swing. On the defensive side she was equally as effective as she averaged 2.3 blocks and 11.4 digs per match to lead her team in both statistical categories.
Annaleise Rammes – MH | St. Ursula
Rammes had a productive season for SUA during the high school season as she hit at a .332 efficiency while collecting 1.3 blocks per match for second on the team. She has above average size, quickness, and arm speed for a middle. When she creates good space and timing she is be able to swing through different zones of the court with good pace. She also has footwork to be able to attack in front and behind the setter off one foot. When maximizing her momentum build she is able to use her contact point at her peak, which can put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses.
